常用的从属连词包括：after、because、if、since、than、though、until、whether、while 和 when。例如，在句子 "Girish went swimming after he completed his job" 中，从属分句是 "after he completed his job"。这比主分句 "Girish went swimming" 更不重要。

3. 关联连词

关联连词连接相关的句子部分。它们总是成对出现，包括

either/or ；neither/nor ；not only/but also ；whether/or ；
